AudioCodes' Voice Over Broadband Gateway Picked by 012 Smile.Communications

The AudioCodes (News - Alert) MediaPack-202 (MP-202) residential gateway has been added to 012 Smile.Communications’ product line for its recently launched nationwide telephony service.
With the AudioCodes MP-202 residential gateway, calls can be made over the Internet instead of using a legacy telephone line. MP-202 provides a quick time-to-market, cost-effective, solution for leveraging 012 Smile.Communications existing customer base. 012 also uses AudioCodes business gateways to connect business customers to a VoIP
network.
Vice President Marketing, 012 Smile, Yaackov Nadborny said in a statement that AudioCodes is one of the company’s preferred suppliers of voice and data IP-based solutions for residential and SOHO customers so it made sense to consider this particular gateway as the company searched for a product compliant with various access infrastructures (cable and DSL
).
According to Nadborny, the alliance was formed as a result of AudioCodes' high level of customer support and overall top product quality and high performance data routing
capacity of the MP-202 residential gateway, required by data savvy residential customers.
Vice President of Marketing and Product Management for AudioCodes, Lior Aldema, said the company is pleased that a leading and innovative ITSP in Israel has chosen its MP-202 residential gateway for deployment in a large customer base.
Aldema added that the company’s best-of-breed, field-proven VoIP residential gateway has given AudioCodes the ability to meet 012's demanding criteria and to offer large scale deployments in the marketplace.
