JAJAH to Provide Premium Voice Services for Yahoo! Messenger

JAJAH (News - Alert), a global IP telephony company, has been chosen by Yahoo! for its premium voice service.

In its capacity as the outsource partner for Yahoo!, JAJAH will allow consumers to make use of its high-quality, low-cost PC-to-phone and phone-to-PC voice calls over its network. The “Phone In” and “Phone Out” service will be available in 200 countries through the Yahoo! Messenger.

JAJAH’s open, next-generation communications platform will support existing Yahoo! Messenger voice offering to start later this year. JAJAH will provide Yahoo! Messenger users with an instant telephony network, combining traditional and IP telephony, according to the collaboration agreement and the managed service offerings.

“The seamless integration of web and voice interaction is clearly important to our strategic partner, Yahoo!,” said Trevor Healy (News - Alert), CEO of JAJAH. “We are honored to be selected by Yahoo! to meet their voice needs. Through this relationship, we have the opportunity to extend our innovative global calling services with an industry leader that can leverage the power of our platform and network.”

Sabrina Ellis, vice president of Yahoo! Messenger, remarked that this partnership with JAJAH will help Yahoo! continue to provide a great communication experience to millions of Yahoo! Messenger users.

“Yahoo! Messenger is one of the first communication tools consumers see and use when they turn on their computers, so it is critical that our partner mirror our commitment to our users, and JAJAH’s reliable VoIP network and proven customer- and carrier-friendly experience make it an ideal solution,” added Ellis.

Yahoo! Messenger users have been using the “Phone In” and “Phone Out” services for making and receiving voice calls on their PCs to talk to others on land lines or mobile phones. Huge savings on phone bills are realized as the rates for such calls are low while it offers premium voice quality, even if the service is used for hours together.

This agreement between JAJAH and Yahoo! entails JAJAH to take over the provision of the telephony infrastructure, payment processing and customer care for Yahoo!’s (News - Alert) premium voice users who will make use of the voice calls service through Yahoo! Messenger.

JAJAH specializes in flexible, next-generation telephony solutions for consumers and businesses. JAJAH enables users to be in contact using any device, on any network, anywhere. It employs a universal open telecommunication platform and its managed services allow mobile operators, landline carriers, cable companies, technology companies and other businesses to use its voice solutions. It also offers the advantages of minimal investments and lesser time to market for services.
