IPtimize announced that it has signed an agreement with Mountain Zone Cable Systems to launch Voice-Over-Internet (VoIP
) digital voice services. The agreement will facilitate easy and quick addition of "Triple Play (News - Alert)" Edge to another independent cable operator.
IPtimize combines cable expertise with wide-ranging telephony abilities to offer an ideal resource fit for cable systems that are looking for competitive entry into the voice business and other managed IP
services.
This is the company’s second agreement in the last six weeks, in the field of cable systems.
IPtimize is a provider of broadband voice and data services that is mainly focused on connecting, adapting and managing commercial and residential IP services for select industry channels.
The company utilizes proven, standards-based Internet delivery technologies, thereby enabling the customers to offer business-class bundled services that are easy to implement and network.
Mountain Zone TV Cable operates TV Cable Systems in and within Southwest Texas, Balmorhea, Fort Davis, Marathon, Marfa and Presidio and a Wireless Broadband Data Networks in Jeff Davis County and in Alpine, Texas as well. It provides customers with high quality entertainment and broadband communication services for home and business purposes.
IPtimize solutions/services are equipment independent, cost efficient, fully monitored and supported. The company deals with many international network providers, in both Tier II and smaller markets, directly and thereby simplifies each customer's competitive navigation and management of the voice business and other IP opportunities. This helps smaller markets to add business-class voice services. With this the company will have an opportunity to enhance their competitive bundled offerings.
According to the agreement, Mountain Zone will start offering its customers with Digital Phone Service that will have a comprehensive plan of local, long distance and commonly used calling features. The service is said to start from regions of Fort Davis, Texas.
"It's both operationally and financially daunting to have to launch new services to stay competitive and maintain the business you've grown for years," said Steve Neu, owner and manager of Mountain Zone Cable Systems, in a statement.
Neu added: "IPtimize has a voice services suite that makes the economics and technology work for smaller systems, and it's what I've been looking for. Being able to offer voice services will bolster my offerings and help stave off the competition. IPtimize offered a relatively painless and practical way to add a whole new revenue line."
IPtimize will soon install the required equipments and launch the service at Ft. Davis. With this the residents of Ft. Davis will have access to voice services available. The other four Mountain Zone systems are expected to install the service.
"We are building tremendous momentum with smaller cable systems that are thirsty for a voice service that works for their particular business," said IPtimize Chairman and CEO Ron Pitcock, in a statement.
Pitcock added: "IPtimize is looking forward to capturing an ever-increasing market share of the VoIP industry, offering a turn-key solution to cable systems that may not otherwise have access to new business lines."
IPtimize team will also be adding its VoIP voice services to the Morgan City, LA system following the agreement with Allen's TV Cable Service, Inc.
