Sangoma Technologies Talks IP Telephony, Global Partnerships
By Stefania Viscusi, Assignment Desk Editor
Toronto, Canada-based Sangoma Technologies (News - Alert) provides data cards, voice cards, gateways and connectivity software used to make IP Telephony possible in leading PBX, IVR, contact center and carrier applications worldwide.
Along with cost savings, streamlined operations, and user productivity improvements, IP Telephony offers endless possibilities for users.
During a recent podcast, I spoke with Serge Forest (News - Alert), vice president of Marketing at Sangoma to find out more about the role Sangoma plays in this market, and about their recent initiative to focus more closely on their partners.
Forest explained that the company provides hardware and software to enable IP communications running on servers and that are specifically optimized to, “make IP-based telephony applications run more effectively and more efficiently.”
“Our well known customers include Dell (News - Alert), Fonality, Ericsson, Barracuda Networks, and many others,” Forest said.
“Today we’re proud to announce the launch of our new updated global partner program, which provides clear benefits for our application and channel partners.”
In light of this strengthened focus on their partners, Sangoma has also combined their updated global partner program with the launch of the IP Telephony Community on TMCnet. This move, Forest said, is a “fantastic way to support our partners and to show that there is much more to Sangoma than great products and great support.”
