Smartlinx VoIP Networks Private Limited signed a proposal with Nettlinx Limited to collaborate on the development of biometric based eGovernance system. In this proposal, it is stated that Nettlinx has a right to use and market the SmartVM technology. Smartlinx will retain the rights to market and use SmartVM outside of Andhra Pradesh. Smartlinx has partnered with Nettlinx for delivering VoIP solutions to businesses and individual customers.

Nettlinx received a work order from the Forest Department, to develop a biometric based voting machine for pilot implementation in Andhra Pradesh. The parties anticipate that Nettlinx will use SmartVM in its development of biometric based voting machine. Nettlinx will customize the SmartlinxVM using the biometric supporting hardware and Smartlinx will provide the support service including maintenance to Nettlinx.

The proposal stands active for a period of one year where in each party may terminate the service in a mutual agreement by giving a month’s notice.
